(09/07/2017) From Dust Thou Art

Today, focus is on the divine endowments, possibilities, and sacred substance of mankind.  Understanding that the operations of sin may have rule over created beings and living creatures by dominating their awareness and self-will many are quick to repeat the condemnations of flesh that appear in the Bible:  “The soul that sinneth must die.”  Yet, there are divine provisions for the recovery of Creation that include forbearance, forgiveness, repentance, resurrection, and sanctification.  The followers of Jesus Christ are encouraged to grasp that humanity is a “special blend” of things carnal, material and temporal joined with things divine, immaterial, and eternal.  Mankind has potential to express an animal, human, or divine nature; and often displays all three at once.  Even so, as vessels of sacred content from the makeup of Deity, men and women may have place as the children of GOD, and joint-heirs with Jesus Christ.  One of the fighters at “Yahoo! All our science. All our hopes our dreams are foolish! In the face of this, we are dust, nothing more.?

Unto this dust, we return. When he chooses for us to die, it is not our place to challenge God.

THE GOLDEN ARROW:  Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer:  behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days:  be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.  He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.  (Revelation 2:  10-11, King James Version, KJV)

“Anonymous”, eternal life begins among Christian believers while they are alive on the earth.  Mortal men will continue to die, yet, through the ministry of Jesus Christ, mankind has been given many encouragements from GOD to overcome condemnation, guilt, shame, and fear of death.  At the coming of Jesus Christ to harvest his believers from the earth (we say, the Advent, the Rapture, the Second Coming) their transformation to exist as immortal and incorruptible companions of divinity will be completed.  It is a common and widespread error among us here on the earth to think and speak as if death has greater authority and power than divinity.  The correction sinners must receive to escape the pattern and understanding that exalts death is so all-inclusive that GOD has been teaching us to say, You must be born again!  The problem is more than simply lack of correct information, lack of intellectual skills and tools to analyze and evaluate life experience, a lack of materials that increase sacred knowledge, or lack of personal discipline and self-control.  The need is for a fresh deposit of the same spirit content from the makeup of GOD that resides within the person of Jesus Christ.  Inseparable aspects of divinity are included such as faith, holiness, joy, longsuffering, lovingkindness, wisdom, and wrath against sin.  Carnal reason, science, and secular knowledge are important for our survival on the earth; however, those finite tools do not maintain and strengthen the necessary focus for our correctly valuing the flesh and being in a more nourishing relationship with our Creator.  Consider again the following that uses language from the Bible:

(1.)  Romans 8:  1-5, King James Version (KJV):  1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.  2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.  3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:  4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.  5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.

(2.)  2nd Timothy 1:  7-10, KJV:  7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.  8 Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner:  but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;  9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,  10 But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:

(3.)  Romans 5:  17-21, KJV:  17 For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)  18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.  19 For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.  20 Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:  21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

(4.)  1st Corinthians 2:  12-16, KJV:  12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.  13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.  14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God:  for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.  15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.  16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? but we have the mind of Christ.

There is far more to be said, correctly examined, and spiritually apprehended.  (For example, (5.)  1st Thessalonians 4:  14-18, KJV:  14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.  15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.  16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God:  and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air:  and so shall we ever be with the Lord.  18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.)  Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful.  Be it unto you according to your faith.
